46 – Voice Acting with Jay Britton

“It can be quite an isolating experience being creative. You don’t know if you’re doing the right thing, the good stuff, the bad stuff …” — Jay Britton, Voice Actor

“It can be quite an isolating experience being creative. You don’t know if you’re doing the right thing, the good stuff, the bad stuff …” — Jay Britton, Voice Actor

This week’s episode is an interview with voice actor Jay Britton. Jay started in IT (information technology) and after getting pretty far in his career decided to make a hard change. He didn’t just start auditioning and hope for the best though, he got coaching from some top names in voice acting.

We talk about his time in the technology world, what it’s like to meet a hero, his love of the Simpson’s and most importantly the power of a coach. I wanted to actually talk to Jay and not have it turn into us showing each other the kinds of voices we could do. It was really hard for me.

Do you know someone who’s looking to change careers and could use a little encouragement to take the leap? It would be great if you could share this episode with them. The easiest way is to send them the url TheSparkAndTheArt.com/46

If you enjoyed today’s chat it would be a great compliment if you could leave an honest review on iTunes

As always you can find me on twitter @sh_tucker

Thanks for listening and remember you won’t get the art with out the work and you won’t do the work without the spark.
